Our bee keeper delivered our second batch of honey yesterday. This is “summer honey” from hives on our farm. While we can’t totally control where the bees fly, we purposely have lots of “bee food” planted on the entire farm. We have a 20 acre pollinator habitat at the north end, flowering shrubs and trees planted on both creeks, several smaller pollinator habitats and vegetables on the south end, and LOTS of flowering “weeds” like white clover. We believe that the large amount of forage we provide for our bees will keep them on our property and away from spray!

1 pound jar is $13.00 (Glass or plastic)

Honey bear (2 oz) is $3.00

We had a great pumpkin crop this year. Pumpkins are on wagons next to the farmstand. We also have pie pumpkins inside the stand.

Small are $2.00, medium – $5.00, large – $7.00

And, we have lots of beautiful sweet peppers, jalapeno and poblano peppers, garlic, tomatoes, beans and eggplant.

Our hens are starting to molt (grow feathers for winter) so are not laying as many eggs. We put eggs in the cooler as we collect them but they move fast.

Contact us ahead for honey as we don’t leave it in the stand for sale.

It’s a beautiful day to come out and pick up your pumpkins!

Our pumpkins – like everything we grow – are grown with no chemical sprays.

We have small – $2.00, medium – $5.00 and large – $7.00 on the wagon next to our farmstand.

We also have small pie pumpkins inside the stand for $2.00 each

And, we have tomatoes, garlic, zucchini, lemon squash, green beans, dragon tongue beans, Melrose, peppers, bell peppers, Italian frying peppers, poblano and jalapeno peppers, eggplant and a limited amount of eggs.

We are picking lots of heirloom tomatoes this week. Also in the stand – garlic, zucchini, yellow squash, beans, sweet peppers, bell peppers, jalapeno and poblano peppers, eggs and the last of the sunflowers.

We are back to picking beans and broccoli! In addition, we have beautiful orange sweet peppers, heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, poblano peppers, jalapeno peppers, bell peppers, zucchini, lemon squash, garlic and our Animal Welfare Approved eggs.

Our August Creekside Market Day is August 19th  (this coming Saturday).

In addition to an abundance of veggies, we will have our own honey and our hand-made goats milk soap for sale.

We’re still picking sweet corn (ahead of the raccoons who seem to agree that it’s delicious) and the heirloom tomatoes are in full production. We also have lemon squash, zucchini, cucumbers, a variety of sweet peppers, jalapeno and poblano peppers, garlic and lovely sunflowers!

Come see us in our farm stand from 9 until 2 on Saturday the 19th. 

After 2, the farm stand will continue to be open for veggies

The sweet corn is fantastic this year (and the raccoons agree!)  We will continue to pick daily until it’s gone. We’re also getting some really nice heirloom tomatoes, sweet peppers, eggplant, lemon squash, cucumbers,  jalapeno peppers, sunflowers and garlic that was harvested in June.

Our hens are doing their best to keep up with the demand for eggs, but we are selling out every day so are re-stocking the cooler as the eggs are laid.

And – the sweet corn is ready!

In the cooler in bags – $6.00 per 13 ears. Some bags will have more if the ears are smaller. We’ve been eating it for the past couple of days and it’s fabulous.
