We will be taking pre-orders for whole or cut-up chickens that will be ready around the end of October.
These chickens are fed organic food from Yorktown Organics and are raised outside on pasture. They get to eat grass and enjoy the fresh air. We take them to Arthur IL to be butchered and processed in a USDA inspected processing facility where they are chilled before they are vacuum packaged. We transport them home in a freezer that is powered by a generator.
If you would like to try some before you order, we have some whole chickens from the batch that was processed 3 weeks ago. They are $3.75 per pound.
If you choose to pre-order, you can request cut-up chickens for an additional .55 cents per chicken.
