Heirloom corn meal

We have a very limited amount of stone ground (by us) heirloom corn meal available for sale. The variety is Northstein Dent and it was grown with organic seed purchased from Johnny’s Selected Seed. It is naturally sweet and you may need to adjust your cornbread recipe if you don’t like it too sweet.

This is part of the description in their seed catalog:

” A favorite for sweet, delicious cornmeal for baking.  While not high yielding, Nothstine’s flavor is enough reason to grow it. We began with 50 seeds of this classic Northern Michigan heirloom in 1975.”

We are selling it in 1 & 1/2 lb bags for $5.00
